We offer a range of license types as well as ways for users to get additional help from us. But our help comes at an opportunity cost for us because if we are helping someone with their issue, we aren’t helping others at that time. Xojo Pro users get higher priority support than Xojo Desktop users, who get higher priority support than Xojo Lite users, who get higher priority support than those using Xojo for free. Xojo Pro Plus users get the highest priority support of all.

We make it a priority to help you resolve your issues. That may mean helping you track down an issue in your code, getting a bug you’ve discovered fixed more quickly and/or helping you find a workaround when you need one.

2X Activations
We recognize that some users have several devices or virtual machines they use for testing and as a result, Xojo Pro Plus users can activate their licenses on up to 6 machines.

Do we guarantee a fix in a certain amount of time?
Not all issues are equal, some take more time, some less, some depend on outside factors, etc. While we do give priority to Pro Plus customers, we simply cannot guarantee how quickly an issue will be resolved. This will be evaluated on a case by case basis. But we will work with you and will stay in communication with you to circumvent issues you encounter with workarounds if we cannot fix it quickly enough.

How will Xojo know when I have reported a case in Feedback?
Our system notifies the Xojo team when Xojo Pro Plus users report an issue in Feedback. If the issue is critical, take the extra step to report the issue you have filed in Feedback to Xojo support immediately.

Do I get more Feedback points with Xojo Pro Plus?
No. As mentioned above, our system notifies the Xojo team when Xojo Pro Plus users report an issue in Feedback. Xojo Pro Plus is a level of support beyond Feedback points.

Does this mean other users are going to experience changes to support response time?
Absolutely not. We have always offered different levels of support. Nothing has changed with the level of support offered for any Xojo license.

Who is Xojo Pro Plus right for?
We have users that depend on Xojo for their living. We created Xojo Pro Plus for them. We will spend more time with Pro Plus users to resolve their issues more quickly.

With Xojo 2014r3 we are introducing simple, annual pricing for all Xojo licenses:

Licensing

We have found that having a separate license for accessing database servers is unnecessarily confusing and costly to our users. With the release of Xojo 2014r3, we are including database access with Xojo Desktop and Web licenses! If you purchased a new Xojo Desktop licenseor Xojo Web license within the last 90 days, your license has already been updated to include database access at no charge.

Pricing

To further simplify our pricing we have changed to a single, annual USD pricing model. This means the price will be the same for new and renewal licenses and all prices are in USD- no matter where you are purchasing from. Single-Platform Desktop and Enterprise licenses are unchanged both in terms of licensing and pricing.

None of this changes how your Xojo license works. As always, can still continue to use your licenses after they expire but will not have access to new releases until you renew.

Automatic Renewal

The first time you renew or purchase Xojo after December 2014 via our website (PayPal and other non-website purchases do not activate auto-renew), you activate the auto-renewal feature. This means your Xojo license will be automatically renewed and your credit card charged every 12 months. Once it’s activated, this feature can be turned off for any specific license at any time from the Licenses page in your xojo.com account. However, if you are reasonably sure you plan to renew, we would appreciate you leaving this feature on as it helps us to plan and make Xojo better. All renewals placed through the auto-renewal feature will include a 10% discount.

Getting Xojo iOS

If you don’t have Xojo Pro, you have two options. First, you can purchase a new Xojo iOS license for $299 USD. Second, you can upgrade your existing licenses to Xojo Pro. Upgrade discounts are calculated from the remaining value of your existing Xojo licenses. To find out your discount, log into your xojo.com account and select which licenses you wish to upgrade from your licenses page.

If you already have Xojo Pro, you have three options. First, you can add iOS to your existing Xojo Pro license for $199 USD (contact me at custserv@xojo.com for this option). With this option, your Xojo Pro license will be upgraded to include iOS through the end of your current expiration date, whenever that may be. This may be a good option for you if your license doesn’t expire for many months. Second, you can renew your Xojo Pro license for $699 which will give you Xojo Pro with iOS and add an additional year to your license. Third, you can purchase a new iOS license for $299.

If you purchased or upgraded to Xojo Pro within the last 90 days, your Xojo Pro license has already been updated to include iOS at no additional charge.

A single license for Desktop, Web, Mobile, Raspberry Pi and Console and includes priority support, beta program access, consulting leads, and a license you can activate on 3 machines simultaneously for $699.

All Xojo licenses let you develop and build your apps with the current release as well as give you access to all updates and releases for the next year. After a year, you can extend your license if you want to build with newer releases or you can continue building indefinitely with the release you have.  Your apps continue to be yours to sell or share as you please. Xojo does not limit the amount of apps you can build, distribute or sell in any way. No royalties are due to Xojo for the apps you create.
