Due to increased travel restrictions for both entering the UK and the US and uncertainty about the new COVID variant, we have received a high number of XDC cancellations. Because of this we have made the difficult decision to cancel XDC 2022. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause those who have already made travel plans. Registered attendees are being contacted directly and will receive refunds in full. If you have booked a hotel room, you will need to cancel it yourself in order to avoid charges. The XDC website will be updated shortly to reflect the cancellation in case anyone needs to use that to get travel refunds.
It is really disappointing to have to do this again. One of my favorite things about my job is planning these fun events to get developers together. Unplanning a conference is now my least favorite thing to do; we already had our flights and hotels booked, so it felt like it was going to happen. Sessions and speakers were lined up. Evening event planning was in process. It was going to be an awesome event. I’d like to thank all of those who submitted sessions, it’s a lot of work to put those together and we really appreciate it!
When travel becomes more reliable, we will rebook the conference. In the meantime, we plan on holding a virtual event in the spring so we can tell you about all of the exciting things going on at Xojo. We hope to see you at a future Xojo event!
