In September we hosted The Xojo Developer Retreat in Nashville and it was a huge success! From exciting educational sessions, to an exploration of the Xojo product roadmap, to informative presentations from Xojo Engineers about how Xojo is made and the Xojo framework, there was a lot to take in! Xojo has very good graphics support. You can drop images into your project and use them with several controls. You can use the various Paint events to draw your own graphics. And there’s another source of graphics you may not have considered: emojis. Emojis can be used anywhere that text can be used because they are simply Unicode characters. That means they can be used in textfields, buttons, labels, popup menus, listboxes and more.
Comments closedWith just a few lines of code, you can create a Xojo app for iOS and Android that shows a new cat picture each time you launch it. I call this app “CatsUp!”. It’s a play on ketchup/catsup, get it?

From API 2.0, an Android pre-release, Apple Silicon native IDE, building and remote debugging 64-bit macOS apps from Windows and Linux and dark mode on Windows, 2021 saw a lot of hard work behind the scenes come to fruition for Xojo.
